odd finish

The colors are beautiful, but the finish on the faces is very odd. When you look at another set of dreamscape dice or mythica dice, the faces have a beautiful liquid finish, but for the Dreamscape Hinterland specifically (... and I've ordered these twice in the past four years, just to check), it looks almost as though the faces had been filled with a glue and scraped to obtain a flat surface finish... the green color underneath is stunning, but not shiny and liquid, the same way the Dreamscape Tundra or Desert are. Hoping someday for a re-make... I love sage, moss, and pine, so the Dreamscape Hinterland would be a wonderful fit.

Continued my purchases of metal d6 dice. These do not disappoint! Die Hard Dice is great.

The Dark Forest

Don't order these expecting platinum shine. The brushed steel color dice have a decently matte finish and, combined with the color shift green, make Dreamscape Hinterland remind you of tales from the Brothers Grimm or long lost artifacts deep within the wood. I enjoy the vibrancy and shimmer of the ink against the duller gray. It they had gone with something more polished, the dark feel of the dice would have been lost.
